چکیده

in this paper, an interference management for multi-beam satellite network to enhance spectral efficiency is studied. first, a two-satellite for future generation satellite network using cognitive radio technology is provided.this network is composed of a secondary satellite and aprimary satellite where the primary satellite system does not suffer from severe destructive interferences coming from the secondary satellite system. upward/downward link power is assumed to be fixed and no power control is used. therefore, the received data from each beam has aspecific level. also, a novel bandwidth sharing algorithm is provided for the first time. next, total rate for bothprimary and secondary satellite systems are computed.furthermore, receiver operating characteristic (roc)curve and numerical results based on the number of antennas and threshold levels are given.

Spectrum Sensing and Interference Mitigation in Cognitive Radio Networks

One concept to increase spectral efficiency is dynamic spectrum access (DSA). The secondary users coexist with the primary users in the same radio-frequency spectrum. Such shared usage demands for an interference avoidance or interference mitigation at the secondary users. This is especially challenging due to the limited cooperation between the primary users (PUs) and the secondary users (SUs)...

Secure Collaborative Spectrum Sensing in the Presence of Primary User Emulation Attack in Cognitive Radio Networks

Collaborative Spectrum Sensing (CSS) is an effective approach to improve the detection performance in Cognitive Radio (CR) networks. Inherent characteristics of the CR have imposed some additional security threats to the networks. One of the common threats is Primary User Emulation Attack (PUEA). In PUEA, some malicious users try to imitate primary signal characteristics and defraud the CR user...

Spectrum Shaping for Interference Management in Cognitive Radio Networks

Most dynamic spectrum access research centers on determining the set of frequencies being used by spectrum license holders, taking its converse, and from what remains selecting the optimal subset of spectrum. This, however, assumes unlicensed transmissions have a square power spectrum By shaping our unlicensed power spectra, we can do much more. This paper investigates applications of spectrum ...

Attack-Aware Cooperative Spectrum Sensing in Cognitive Radio Networks under Byzantine Attack

Cooperative Spectrum Sensing (CSS) is an effective approach to overcome the impact of multi-path fading and shadowing issues. The reliability of CSS can be severely degraded under Byzantine attack, which may be caused by either malfunctioning sensing terminals or malicious nodes. Almost, the previous studies have not analyzed and considered the attack in their models. The present study introduc...

Spectrum Sensing Techniques in Cognitive Radio Networks

Now a days, the available radio spectrum is divided between the licensed and unlicensed frequencies. But due to this, some frequency bands get occupied all the time and some are occupied for less time. This is leading to wastage of frequency spectrum. Again, in recent years, there has been huge growth in wireless communication devices and applications. To fulfill this demand of spectrum, we sho...

General Spectrum Sensing in Cognitive Radio Networks

It is well known that the successful operation of cognitive radio (CR) between CR transmitter and CR receiver (CR link) relies on reliable spectrum sensing. To network CRs requires more information from spectrum sensing beyond traditional techniques, executing at CR transmitter and further information regarding the spectrum availability at CR receiver. Redefining the spectrum sensing along with...
